Please do consider applying once applications open! Currently there’s so set date since I want to complete the interest checks first, but they will most likely open around mid to late December! Once they open up you basically just have to make sure you meet all the requirements (I will finalize the requirements once the second interest check is done and post them, so please look out for that!) and fill out the application properly!
Also please don’t put yourself down! If you really do want to apply to this, put your worries behind you and try to apply with whatever art you think is your best work if you’re genuinely concerned! Something I do when applying to zines is I’ll just draw a bunch leading up to the applications opening so that when they do open I have a few different choices of recent art I like, so that might help as well! I also know a few people who organize their art in advance and pick out a couple pieces they definitely want to use to apply so when applications open they already have their personal favorites ready. Maybe those two things will help ease your nerves?
